Back up and restore your Temu+ data

Temu+ keeps everything on your own device — there's no account and no Temu+ server holding a copy. That's great for privacy, but it means your data is only as safe as your browser. A 10-second backup protects all of it, and restoring on a new computer takes a couple of clicks.

Why back up?

Your synced orders, refunds, credit history, and any reseller cost basis you've entered live in a local database inside your browser. They can vanish if you:

• Get a new computer or phone and reinstall the extension.
• Clear your browser data, reset Chrome/Edge, or switch browsers.
• Use the Reset all data button in Settings.

A backup is your safety net — and the only way to carry your history (and your hand-entered reseller numbers) from one machine to another.

Make a full backup

1. Open the Temu+ dashboard and go to Settings → Export & backup.
2. Under Move your data to another computer, click Full backup (JSON).
3. A file like temu-plus-backup-2026-06-17.json downloads. That single file contains everything, across all your accounts.

Restore on another computer

1. Install Temu+ on the new computer (and sign in to Temu if you want fresh syncs too).
2. Go to Settings → Export & backup and click Restore from backup….
3. Drag your .json file onto the window, or click Choose a file.
4. Temu+ shows you exactly what's inside — orders, items, refunds, reseller records — before anything changes. Click Restore data.

That's it. Your dashboard fills back in with your full history.

Restore is safe — it merges, never deletes

Restoring adds to and updates what's already on the device; it never wipes existing data. So you can safely:

• Restore onto a machine that already has some synced data — the two just combine.
• Restore the same backup twice without creating duplicates (matching records are updated in place).
• Merge backups from two computers into one.

CSV vs. JSON — which is which

Temu+ can hand you data in two shapes, and they're for different jobs:

• JSON full backup — the complete, restorable copy. Use this to move or protect your data. It's the only file Restore accepts.
• CSV (items, orders, reseller) — friendly spreadsheets for Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. Perfect for your own analysis, but they're a one-way export, not a backup you can restore.

A note on privacy

Backing up and restoring happens entirely on your device. The file is written by your browser and read back by your browser — it's never uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no Temu+ server that could hold your orders in the first place. Read the privacy policy →
